Nisar elected new PBF chief

LAHORE: Pakistan Badminton Federation (PBF) Friday elected its new office-bearers with Nisar Ahmed being the president and Wajid Ali secretary. Elections of PBF were held here in the elective General Council meeting with affiliated units of PBF in attendance. These units of PBF were Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, AJK, Gilgit- Baltistan, Wapda, Railways, Badminton Technical Association and Lady Member and Individual Member. Zafar Ali Khan, ex Vice President of PBF was nominated to preside the meeting by ex President Mian Iftikhar Hussain.

The office-bearer for the next four years are: Nisar Ahmad Shahwani (Balochistan) President, Muhammad Razzaq Gill (Wapda) Chairman, Tayyab Sohail (Punjab) Sr. Vice President, Hammad Hassan Mirza (Railway), Pervez Habib Butt (Islamabad) Vice Presidents, Mrs Zarina Waqar (Punajb) Vice President Women, Wajid Ali Ch (Punjab) Secretary General, Iftikhar Hussain (Sindh) Treasurer, Raja Azhar Mehmood (PBTOA) Joint Secretary, Amjad Wali (Gilgit- Baltistan), Miss Farah (Balochistan) Executive Members.
