US Attorney General appoints 17 interim prosecutors: US Attorney General Jeff Sessions appointed 17 current and former federal prosecutors as interim US Attorneys in jurisdictions around the country, the Department of Justice said. The interim posts are for 120 days unless those holding them are re-appointed by a court or officially nominated by President Trump and confirmed by the US Senate.
