Robbers injure six people in 18 strikes in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: Bandits and thieves Monday deprived the locals of valuables and shot at and injured six people in 18 strikes in different areas of Gujranwala.
Two dacoits intercepted two brothers Arif and Tariq, sons of Aslam, in Sardar Town. When Arif and Tariq, and their neighbour Safdar, son of Nawaz, resisted the dacoits, they shot at and injured them. The injured were shifted to DHQ hospital.
Two gunmen shot at and injured Imran near Reagent cinema in Model Town police area when he put up resistance. He was shifted to DHQ hospital.
Three robbers snatched gold ornaments from a lady at Ratta Road in Jinnah Road police area. The locals started chasing the robbers when the lady raised a hue and cry in Satellite Town police area. Over being chased, the bandits started indiscriminate firing, leaving trader Yusuf and his son Imran injured. The injured were shifted to DHQ hospital.
Two bandits snatched Rs 10,000 and a cellphone from Rehman in Gujranwala Sadr police area.
Two robbers snatched Rs 9,000 and a cellphone from Nasir near Haidri road underpass in the People’s Colony police area.
Thieves entered workshop of Farooq at village Ballewali in the Cantonment police area and decamped with costly equipment.
Thieves entered house of Iqbal in village Kot Ishaque and took away valuables in Ladhewala police limits. Thieves entered house of Saeed at Ladhewala and stole costly household items in the same police area.
Thieves lifted new motorbike of Mohyuddin from Pindi bypass in the Aroop police area, new motorcycle of Asif from Gakhaar police, new motorbike of Husnain from Ahmednagr Chattha police area, motorbike No GAK-251 of Shabbir from Peoples’ Colony market, motorcycle No STL-4993 of Hammad from Bank Street Qila Didar Singh, motorcycle No GAX-1121 of Naeem from village Sangwazi in Wazirabad sadr police, and motorbike No LEY-5293 from a man on Mandiala road in cantonment police area. The locals urged the police high-ups to look into the matter.
