Sialvi dissociates from PML-N
SARGODHA: Pir Hameeduddin Sialvi, the custodian of Dargah Sial Sharif, on Wednesday said they would not have any association with the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in future, local media reported.
Talking to the media, Sialvi said, "Fingers are being pointed at us for entering into a deal [with PML-N]" and reiterated that their demand for the resignation of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah was final. "We have submitted an application for holding a rally in Faisalabad and the demand for Rana Sana’s resignation is final," he added.
Sialvi also claimed that 15 lawmakers of the ruling PML-N were with them. "These lawmakers would announce their resignations at the Khatam-e-Nubawwat Conference on December 10," he said.
On Sunday, Pir Sialvi had postponed his demand for Sanaullah’s resignation, following his telephonic conversation with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. His nephew, MPA Nizamuddin Sialvi, had confirmed the development, saying that the chief minister told Sialvi that Rana Sana was ready to appear before him and address all his concerns.
