Election Day

The general elections conducted by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) are almost always made controversial by political parties. It is surprising that both winner and losers accuse each other of using unfair means to win the elections. While the losers cry foul, the winning party claims that they served people selflessly and therefore people voted for them. In reality, every candidate violates the ground rules set up by the ECP.
It is a well-known fact that every contestant in elections spends way more than the limit set by the ECP. The rules do not only set limits on expenses, but also prohibits the candidates from providing transport or providing food to voters on the election day as it is tantamount to luring people to vote to them. This rule is also blatantly violated on the election day.
