Training programme completes 1st year

KARACHI: Fixed income certification programme of the Institute of Financial Management Pakistan (IFMP) has achieved its main objective by creating a critical knowledge base and skill set among students and different institutional investors, a statement said on Wednesday.
A spokesman said institutions included mutual funds, insurance companies, money market dealers, banks’ treasury and investment advisory professionals and other fixed income market participants, it added.
More than 2,000 professionals of the financial sector, capital market industry, students and faculty of different universities attended the training programmes, it said. The fixed income certification was jointly launched last year in October 2016 by the Institute of Financial Markets of Pakistan (IFMP) and USAID Financial Market Development Activity (FMD).
