FAISALABAD: On the report of a bailiff appointed by the Senior Civil Judge, Civil Lines police booked 10 people for attacking the bailiff. Munir Ahmad, a bailiff, visited Bilal Ganj Market along with decree holder Sarwar Shakir for implementation on the court order. However, accused Gulbaz Khan and nine others allegedly attacked the bailiff and threatened him of dire consequences.
Nawaz to soon address public meeting: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will soon address a public meeting here to apprise the citizens about the latest developments in the country and the steps taken under the PML-N manifesto for the masses welfare.
Talking to this scribe here on Tuesday, MNA Mian Abdul Mannan, chairman, Parliamentary Affairs Committee of the National Assembly, said that mammoth public meeting of the PML-N at Abbottabad had proved that a large number of people were still supporting Nawaz Sharif.
“The successful public meeting is an ‘eye opener’ for Imran Khan and his fellows to mend their behaviour of maligning their opponents. The voters will again reject Imran in the forthcoming general elections,” he added.
Mannan said that Imran Khan should understand it clearly that the participants of the Abbottabad public meeting were locals and were not brought from across the country.
He lashed out at the PTI chairman and its other leaders who always staged unproductive sit-ins against the elected PML-N government and put a dent into the country’s economy. The MNA said it was unfortunate that Imran Khan staged sit-in at that time when the Chinese president was due to visit Pakistan to sign the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) agreement and due to PTI’s sit-in, the signing of this historic agreement was delayed considerably.
