Dacoits rob, kill greengrocer in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: Two bandits killed a greengrocer and robbed his colleagues of cash and valuables at Rawalpindi Bypass here on Friday.
The greengrocers were going to the vegetable and fruit market by a van when the dacoits intercepted them. The bandits snatched cash and mobile phones from Hanif, Idrees, Ghulam Mustafa, Shahbaz and others. They also shot at and injured Shahbaz. The victim was rushed to the DHQ Hospital where he died. Aroop police are investigating.

‘Misbehaviour’ with officials
Demo against ex-MPA

GUJRANWALA: Qila Didar Singh Town Building inspectors and other employees on Friday staged a demonstration against the alleged misbehaviour of former MPA Mian Mazhar Javed.
The protesters were chanting slogans against the former MPA. They said that the former MPA allegedly misbehaved with them when they sealed an illegal building at Kot Qazi. They said that the former MPA also threatened them of dire consequences.
