Saim reaches SSB Development Championship semis

KARACHI: Saim Danish reached the semi-finals at 51st SSB Development Series Tennis Championship at Union Club here on Thursday.
In the quarter-finals of under-15 category, Saim beat Asad Bachani of Hyderabad 6-0, 7-5. In the men’s singles quarter-finals, Eibad Sarwar beat Sheeraz of Hyderabad 2-6, 6-2, 10-4, while Noor-e-Mustafa got walkover against Ghezanfer from Hyderabad.
Earlier, in the first round, Noor-e-Mustafa beat Nadir Bachani of Hyderabad 6-1, 6-3. In under-17 first round, Suhaib beat Ghezanfar Chandio (Jamshoro) 6-4, 2-0 (retired); and Arham beat Shahbaz of Hyderabad 6-0, 6-3. Hasan Jamal beat M Ibrahim 8-0 in a match of under-9 singles in the first round.
