Lahore bleeds

On Monday (Jul 24) a suicide attack in Lahore left at least 26 people. Over 50 people were critically injured. Nine policemen were also among the dead. The attack left the entire country in the state of mourning. The latest terrorist attack underlines calls for greater vigilance on part of law-enforcement agencies.

The authorities concerned must investigate the incident and determine who is responsible for the attack. It is unfortunate that despite the government’s concerted efforts, the menace of terrorism hasn’t be eradicated from the country.
