Islamabad: The Met Office on Friday forecast more rains in the country, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi, over the weekend.
"Strong monsoon currents will start to penetrate in eastern parts of country from Saturday, which will produce more monsoon rains during the next three days," a weatherman told 'The News'.
He said rain and thunderstorm with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall were expected at a number of places in Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Hazara, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad divisions and Kashmir on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The Met Office official said rain and thunderstorm with moderate to heavy rainfall were expected to occur at scattered places of KP, Fata, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Sukkur, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, Karachi, Sibbi, Zhob, Naseerabad divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan during the period. He said all relevant authorities should remain alert during those days to meet any emergency.
