GHAZI: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan has said the government will welcome support from Turkey to facilitate deserving people of the federally administered tribal areas (Fata).
He was addressing a select gathering of elders and educationists, including a 28-member delegation of senior officials from Republic of Turkey, after formally inaugurating a newly constructed block of Khubaib School and College, an institution working under the aegis of Khubaib Foundation.
The foundation is run by philanthropists of Turkey in Haripur. The institution was established to cater to the educational and boarding/lodging needs of the deserving children who suffered because of the 2005 earthquake. A former speaker of the National Assembly Gohar Ayub Khan also spoke on the occasion.
