LAHORE
A cloudy day with scattered rain was observed in the provincial capital here Wednesday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for Thursday (today).
Met office said a shallow westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country and likely to persist during next 24-36 hours. They predicted that dust-thunderstorm/rain with gusty winds is expected at a few places in Quetta, Zhob, Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Bannu, Kohat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad, upper Fata, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Dust-storm/gusty winds are expected in Multan, DG Khan and Sargodha divisions.
Rainfall was also recorded in other cities, including Dir, Malam Jabba, Abbottabad, Saidu Sharif, Lower Dir, Parachinar, Murree, Rawalakot and Garhi Dupatta.
Wednesday’s maximum temperature was recorded at Larkana and Bahawalnagar where mercury reached 44°C while in Lahore, it was 33°C, humidity was 24 percent and minimum temperature was 25.8°C.
