Dry weather continued to prevail in the city here Friday while Met office predicted a partly cloudy weather with chances of rain on Saturday (today).
Met officials said a shallow westerly wave is likely to enter upper parts of the country and may persist during next 36 hours. They predicted that mainly hot and dry weather is expected over most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm along with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Malakand, Hazara, Mardan divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan while at isolated places in Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha divisions, Islamabad, Fata and Kashmir.
Rainfall was recorded at several cities, including DG Khan, Parachinar, Kalam and Lasbella.
Friday’s maximum temperature was recorded at Sibbi where mercury reached 44°C while in Dadu, Turbat and Mohenjo Daro it was 43°C and at Padidan, Khanpur, Jacobabad, Rahimyar Khan, Sukkur, Larkana and Rohri it was 42°C. In Lahore, humidity was 16 percent while highest temperature was 39°C and lowest was 22.2°C. —Correspondent
