The rupee strengthened against the dollar on Friday, amid slowdown in the demand from importers and companies, dealers said.The rupee gained three paisas to close at 104.73 against the greenback as compared to the previous levels of 104.76 in the interbank currency market. The local currency opened the day at 104.74. It recorded a high of 104.75 and low of 104.78 during the trading session.
