Bahria Town unveils dancing fountains
Malik Riaz says fountains reflect our commitment to transform Pakistan into a tourist destination
KARACHI: On the beautiful Sunday evening, Bahria Town Karachi unveiled Pakistan’s most dazzling dancing fountains amidst great cheers.
The scintillating display of colors, water, fire and dancing lights in sync with background music mesmerized hordes of visitors who thronged the site to experience the excitement, awe and wonder evoked by this amazingly colorful spectacle of dancing laser light, fire and water.
The fountains gave a test performance on Pakistan Day as part of the celebrations.
Comprising 250+ fountain jets, water jets up to 180 feet high, 24 flame throwers, 2 water screens with 6 lasers green + Multicolored & 350 LED Lighting Projectors and 2 HD4k video projectors, Bahria Fountain created a spell binding effect on the audience.
Chairman Bahria Town Malik Riaz Hussain inaugurated the fountain. Speaking on the occasion Malik Riaz Hussain said, “Pakistan is one of the most beautiful countries in the world but we receive the lowest number of international tourists in the region. Bahria Town is committed to building a beautiful and safe Paksitan. Bahria Fountain is a reflection of our commitment to transform Pakistan into a world-class tourist destination.’
Bahria Fountain has been created by internationally acclaimed and award winning architects who have to their credit an endless list of modern day wonders of the world including but not restricted to Singapore Sentosa Fountain, Shanghai Disneyland Park, Futuroscope in France, Dubai Fountain & Dubai Canal Waterfall.
The Grand Unveiling Ceremony featured Tanoura Dance, Faakhir’s live performance and awesome fireworks which fired up the level of excitement of the crowd.
Basile de Schrynmakers, project head of Bahria Fountain, shared his experience, “I have worked on many projects all over the world. But nothing has been as exciting as working on Bahria Fountains here in Bahria Town Karachi, Pakistan. We had a great team and a great time which enabled us to complete this mega project in a record time. Bahria Fountain is probably the best and the largest in South Asia. I am delighted to be part of this great team and project.’
Bahria Fountain is the latest and the most splendid addition to Karachi’s tourist destinations. The site is becoming popular among the residents of Bahria Town and other areas in Karachi. In addition, the fountains are attracting a large number of tourists visiting Karachi from other cities of Pakistan and from all over the world.
‘Spectacular and spellbinding, the sight of these dancing fountains just took my breath away’, says Mrs. Enwar, a resident of Karachi who attended the opening ceremony with great excitement. For Mr. & Mrs. Maqsood who are residents of Bahria Town Karachi, the Dancing Fountain’s light and water choreography appeared to be an international standard entertainment.
Mr. Maqsood expressed his delight saying, ‘Absolutely world-class. You can compare the site to any other fountains in the world.’ ‘It’s electrifying, the colors, the music, the swinging fountains and the energy. Fabulous’, shouted Ali, an art student who travelled all the way from Hyderabad to attend the ceremony.
Bahria Fountain is introducing international standard residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, educational, shopping and leisure projects in Pakistan, particularly Bahria Town Karachi which is the largest private real estate development project in the history of Pakistan.
Construction work at Pakistan’s largest Rafi Cricket Stadium with a capacity of 50,000 has formally been started which will be completed within 1.5 years to host international event in the next two years.
