KARACHI: Four popular professional wrestlers from different countries arrived here on Monday to attend a pre-launching ceremony of the pro wrestling competitions which will be staged in three major cities of Pakistan in May.
The ceremony will be held here on Tuesday (today).
The wrestlers are champions of their countries, an official of the Pro Wrestling Entertainment (PWE) told ‘The News’ here on Monday.
The PWE Project Director Shahid-ul-Haq said that the wrestlers would stay at Karachi for four days.
The competitions will be staged in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
The wrestlers are France-based Pakistani Badshah Khan, Flash Gordon from France, Tiny Iron from the United Kingdom and Yacine Usmani from Aljazair.
This is the first time that a pro event will be organised in Pakistan. Pro Wrestling Entertainment chief executive Pir Syed Asim Ali Shah formed the body a year ago. The venues are yet to be finalised.
