Qadri for result-oriented education

Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri has said that illiteracy is the worst thing in the world, not knowing the facts is one thing but not knowing the reality and not acting is illiteracy.

Addressing the students and faculty at the convocation of Minaj University, of which, he is also chairman Board of Governors, here on Saturday, he said students must be provided result-oriented education. 

Dr Tahirul Qadri said Tehreek Minhajul Quran was busy in spreading education all over the world and the world appreciated its research and techniques. He said character building along with textbook knowledge had made Minhaj University unique. 

He advised the students to get education not for the sake of just getting a degree but to end the darkness of illiteracy and must work to light the torches of literacy wherever and whenever get a chance. At the end, he also prayed for the progress and well-being of the students who graduated from the university.

Speaking on the occasion, vice-chairman Dr Hussain Mohiyuddin Qadri said he was proud that students who graduated from this university were in the forefront in serving the country in every field. 

Earlier, Dr Aslam Ghauri also presented the presidential note. Dr Tahirul Qadri congratulated the scholars of PhD, MPhil, Islamic scholars and those who obtained distinctions in Computer Sciences. He also gave away gold medals to the students who excelled in different categories.
