No progress in Samiya murder case
LAHORE: Civil Lines Investigation Police have yet to make significant progress in the case of mysterious death of a PML-N worker Samiya Chaudhry.
Her dead body was recovered from MNA hostels in Chanba House late Saturday night. She was staying there for last four days before her mysterious death.
A murder case against unidentified suspects was registered on complaint of her husband. Autopsy report of the incident was conducted in which no signs of torture or assault were found.
It suggested that she died because of consumption of poisonous thing. Police collected the forensic evidences from crime scene, took record of Chamba House into its custody and also anaylsed CCTV footage but could not find anything substantial.
Police also took into custody 10 employees of the house last night and were interrogating them but have yet to make a progress in the case. Police have sent request of CDR of her mobile phone and also waiting for forensic report to ascertain exact cause of death.
