Shahbaz, Fazl discuss unprovoked Indian firing, IHK situation

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif called on Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Chief also Chairman of Kashmir Committee Maulana Fazlur Rehman and discussed matters of bilateral interests.

During the meeting held here on Saturday the two leaders discussed the issues of worst human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IHK), unprovoked firing by Indian troops targeting civilians and soldiers of Pakistan Army fighting along Line of Control (LoC) and expressed solidarity with the suppressed Kashmiri brethren.

During meeting Shahbaz Sharif said that human rights violations of Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir had crossed all the limits. He stressed that the United Nations (UN) and international community must take notice of what’s going on in occupied Kashmir and should support the inborn right of self-determination of Kashmiri people.

The CM Punjab said that Pakistan would continue to extend the political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people. “Kashmir is the unsettled agenda of partition of subcontinent and resolution of Kashmir dispute was vital for regional peace and stability,” he added.

He further said that India should not consider the Pakistan’s desire for peace as its weakness and armed forces of country were giving befitting reply to Indian aggression. “Entire nation was standing at the back of their government and armed forces,” he added.

Shahbaz said that Pakistani armed forces were capable to defend the national frontiers.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that India failed to suppress the right to self-determination of Kashmiri people despite use of brutal force and all tactics. He said that bloodshed of innocent Kashmiri people and human rights violations should come to an end.

“In the prevailing scenario unity among the political forces of the country has become more vital,” he added.
