Violation of LoC by India threat to peace: CM
Says armed forces capable of giving befitting reply to aggression;
suspends Nankana DHQ hospital MS, other officers for negligence

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said there is a greater need for unity and solidarity in the present situation and those political elements who are dividing the nation should mend their ways.
He said it is time to promote unity to foil nefarious designs of the enemy. He said it is high time to set aside mutual differences and give a strong message to enemy through forging unity.
He said violation of Line of Control by India is a threat to peace. He said Indian forces are resorting to cowardly acts by targeting innocent citizens and the evil face of India has been exposed. Shahbaz Sharif said that brave armed forces of Pakistan are capable of giving a befitting reply to Indian aggression. He said Pak Army can defend every inch of the land of the country and is giving a forceful reply to the enemy. He said enemy of Pakistan is perturbed over CPEC, aimed at progress and prosperity of the country, and is trying to sabotage this project.
The CM condemned unprovoked Indian firing and shelling on an ambulance and passenger bus near Neelam Valley and expressed sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives. He also sympathised with the bereaved families and prayed for the early recovery of the injured. The CM said that the increasing incidents of unprovoked firing by Indian forces across Line of Control are deplorable. He said firing and shelling on ambulance, passenger bus and localities is a proof of Indian aggression.
The CM said CPEC is a guarantee to progress and prosperity of Pakistan and its completion will change destiny of the country and a new era of progress and prosperity will usher in. He said CPEC project will have to be implemented through maintaining unity and solidarity.
Shahbaz Sharif expressed these views while talking to elected representatives who met him on Wednesday.
Those who called on the CM included MNAs Syed Javed Ali Shah, Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha, Raja Muhammad Javed. MPAs Abdul Rauf Mughal and former MNA Afzal Tarar and MPA Mansha Ullah Butt were present.
The CM has said he has taken up the challenge of improvement of hospitals and provision of best treatment facilities to the patients and no hurdle will be tolerated in this regard.
He said he will be satisfied only when people expressed satisfaction over medical facilities in hospitals. He said he will make all out efforts for providing best healthcare facilities to the citizens as he is answerable to the people as well as Allah Almighty. He said existing state of affairs will not be allowed to continue and everyone will have to realize his responsibilities. The CM ordered immediate suspension of Medical Superintendent, District Headquarters Hospital, Nankana and officers concerned for non-implementation of his instructions for improvement of hospital conditions and dereliction of duties. He ordered suspension of former MS of the hospital and former EDO Health and action against them. The issued instructions for suspension of SE, XEN and SDO concerned for using delaying tactics regarding sewerage scheme of the hospital. He said in spite of his two visits to the hospital during five months it is regrettable that his instructions have not been followed. He was presiding over a meeting which reviewed the matters and problems brought to the notice during his visit to District Headquarters Hospital Nankana. He said those who do not pay attention to solution of problems of the ailing humanity have no right to stay on their posts and deserve punishment. He said poor patients should not suffer due to negligence or laxity of an officer. He said every citizen has right over best health facilities and it should be ensured. He said he wants solid results with regard to availability of modern healthcare facilities in hospitals. The CM directed that departmental action should also be initiated against MS District Headquarters Hospital Nankana and other officers. He directed chief secretary to make it binding upon commissioners and DCOs to pay regular visits to hospitals for improving the situation. He said negligence towards public welfare projects like sewerage in hospitals is intolerable.
The CM in a meeting which reviewed preliminary proposals for disaster insurance scheme to cope with the losses due to natural calamities especially floods appreciated the idea of disaster insurance scheme and directed that Cabinet Committee should review proposals in this regard and submit comprehensive recommendations. PDMA DG gave a briefing on disaster insurance scheme.
