LAHORE

Around 100 Hindu Yatrees under the leadership of Yuthasheter Lal Sahib reached Pakistan through Wahga border to attend their religious ceremonies on Tuesday.

Shrines Additional Secretary Khalid Ali, Deputy Secretary Faraz Abbas, local Hindu community leaders and other officials welcomed the yatrees at Wahga border. The delegation of Yatrees left for Shadnai Sharine in Mirpur Mathelo, Sindh, to offer their services. After religious ceremony, they will reach Lahore on November 30. Shrines Additional Secretary Khalid Ali briefed the media that security, residences and medical facilities had been provided to the Yatrees on special orders of the chairman of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB).

ETPB Chairman Siddiqul Farooq said, "Pakistan respects all religions of the world." He said Pakistan issued visas to the Yatrees to visit shrines according to their faith. He said, “No doubt there is a tension between Pakistan and India, despite that government of Pakistan issued visas to them. Pakistan respects humanity. It does not discriminate on the basis of religion, colour or creed."
