CM says no justification for silence of world community

over human rights violations in IHK

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan will continue political, diplomatic and moral support to the people of Kashmir and there is no justification for silence of world community over human rights violations in held Kashmir.

Head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) and Kashmir Committee Chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, here Tuesday. Both the leaders strongly condemned the increasing incidents of cruelties against unarmed Kashmiri people by Indian occupied forces in held Kashmir and unprovoked firing at the Line of Control (LoC) by Indian army.

Shahbaz Sharif and Maulana Fazlur Rehman paid rich tributes to Kashmiri people for laying down their lives for achieving right of self-determination and sacrifices of Pakistani citizens and Army Jawans who were martyred due to unprovoked firing of Indian army.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that the movement of self-determination of Kashmiri people could not be pressed through bullet and carnage. He said that today every person of Occupied Kashmir is demanding freedom and Indian government can no more deprive the Kashmiri people of their basic right of freedom. He said the policy of cruelty and violence of Indian government had failed in Occupied Kashmir and Kashmiri people were writing a new history with their blood.

Shahbaz Sharif said that solution to Kashmir issue in accordance with UNO resolutions was necessary for lasting peace in the region and Indian government would have to quit rigidity and come towards solution of Kashmir dispute.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had raised Kashmir issue at international fora in an active manner. He said that silence of world community over martyrdom of innocent Kashmiris was tantamount to murder of justice. He said the Indian government was committing atrocities over innocent Kashmiri people and despite Indian barbarism in Occupied Kashmir the movement for self-determination had intensified. He said the sacrifices of Kashmiris for achieving self-determination would not waste.
