Former GCU principal dies

Prof Fizaur Rehman Khan, former principal of Government College University Lahore, passed away after a protracted illness. He was 94.He was laid to rest on Monday. A large number of college teachers and high-ranking officials attended his Namaz-e-Janaza. He was father of Collector Adila Rehman and father-in-law of Lahore Customs

Prof Fizaur Rehman Khan, former principal of Government College University Lahore, passed away after a protracted illness. He was 94.
He was laid to rest on Monday. A large number of college teachers and high-ranking officials attended his Namaz-e-Janaza. He was father of Collector Adila Rehman and father-in-law of Lahore Customs Tribunal Member Tariq Imran. Quran Khawani for the departed soul will be held at 11am, followed by Rasm-e-Qul at 12:30pm at 215-U, Street-5, Phase-II, DHA Lahore, on Tuesday (today). Prof Fizaur Rehman Khan was known as an excellent administrator, a competent teacher and an economist of repute. Besides initiating many development works at GC, he had also established several student societies including the famous Ravians Quiz Society for character building and personality development of students.
