Parents’ Day function held at Army Burn Hall College

ABBOTTABAD: Lt-Gen (R) Tariq Khan on Monday urged the young Hallians to work hard and keep the banner of the Army Burn Hall College high.

Addressing as chief guest at annual parents day of the Army Burn Hall College for Boys, he appreciated the institution for producing leaders in various fields of life. Earlier, the chief guest visited Science, Computer and Arts Clubs and appreciated the projects undertaken by the students.

The Annual Parents’ Day and Prize Distribution Ceremony is an event in which the Hallians display achievements of the preceding year in front of their parents and other guests.This year the Hallians decided to organise the event in an open air after a period of about 11 years as it is located in a scenic natural landscape.

A large number of parents and prominent citizens attended the ceremony. The ceremony started with the entry of beautifully attired young Hallians in colourful dresses, exuding with vigour, confidence and enthusiasm, interspersed with melodious sounds and beats of Baloch Regimental Centre band.

Earlier, principal of the college Brigadier Wajid Qayyum Paracha presented an overview of the college’s achievements during the preceding year and paid tribute to his predecessor Brigadier Mukhtar Muhammad, who was instrumental in bringing about positive changes in the college. Awarded and medals were distributed amongst the distinguished students and houses.
