LAHORE
The Punjab government Friday approved three development schemes of different sectors at an estimated cost of Rs 81283.605 million.
The schemes were approved in the 23rd meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of the current fiscal year, chaired by Punjab P&D Board Chairman Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
P&D Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all members of the Planning and Development Board, provincial secretaries and other officers concerned also attended the meeting.
According to a spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes are: Punjab Irrigated Agriculture Productivity Improvement Project (PIPIP) (Revised) at a cost of Rs 80850.35 million; Green Pakistan Programme–Revival of Wildlife Resources in Punjab at a cost of Rs 284 million and Mineral Resource Potential of Punjab (MRP): a) Energy Minerals b) Metallic Minerals c) Industrial Minerals (PC-II) at a cost of Rs 149.25 million.
