DSP, head constable dismissed from service
PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Nasir Khan Durrani dismissed a deputy superintendent of police (DSP) and a head constable of Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Lakki Marwat from service on Tuesday.
After public complaints against DSP Mohammad Subhan and head constable Sadiq, the IGP suspended them and constituted a committee to probe charges against them. The inquiry committee headed by DIG Dera Ismail Khan submitted its report substantiating the allegations against the two cops.
The IGP in light of the recommendations of the inquiry committee dismissed DSP Muhammad Subhan and Head Constable Muhammad Sadiq from service. The public complaints had alleged that the cops had contacts with criminals and were involved in misuse of power.
