‘Mehfil-e-Musalma’ held at RAC

A Mehfil-e-Musalma was arranged by Rawalpindi Arts Council in collaboration with literary organisation Kasb-e-Kamal and Nusrat Art Promoters in connection with Muharram-ul-Haram.

Poets paid rich tributes to Hazarat Imam Hussain (RA) and their followers who sacrificed their lives for Islam.

Mrs. Tahira Auranzeb, Member National Assembly, while speaking on this occasion said that the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his followers for Islam will always be remembered in golden words.

She said the blood of the Martyrs of Karbala gives the message of peace which proves that truth will be alive for ever. Naheed Manzoor and Waqar Ahmed, Resident Director RAC, also highlighted the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his followers in Karbala.

The ‘Mehfil-e-Musalma’ was presided over by famous poet of the twin cities Prof. Dr. Munawar Hashmi. The host of the Mehfil-e-Musalma was the famous poetess Farzan Naz.

The poets who paid tributes to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his followers included Aza Anwar, Effa Anwar, Nasir Ali Nasir, Tariq Malik, Waqas Ahmed Anmol, Waqar Imran, Jiyha Yousef, Qurat ul Ain Naqvi, Shabaz Chouhan, Pir Atiq Ahmed Chishti, Ward Bazmi, Riffat Waheed, Mazhar Shahzad, Syed Mazhar Masud, Anwar Zia, Ather Zia, Arif Farhad, Arshad Malik, Qazi Zaheer Ahmed, Saeed Anwar, Aslam Saghir, Khurram Khaliq, Ishfaq Syed and Nouireen Talat Arooba.
