PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) ‘Insaf Tiger Force’ has finalised arrangements to participate in the upcoming Raiwind March in Lahore.
Speaking at a news conference here on Friday, Insaf Tiger Force president Bashir Khan said more than 25 caravans would leave Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to participate in the PTI-led Raiwind March against corruption.
He said arrangements had been finalised to participate in the rally. He added it would be peaceful rally and if somebody tried to use force against peaceful marchers, they would give a befitting response to them.
Flanked by Sajid Iqbal, president of Peshawar region, Muhammad Shah, general secretary, Umar president of Peshawar district chapter, Sher Ahmad, Zahir Shah and others, Bashir Khan said the Raiwind rally was against corruption and it was not directed against the prime minister or any other individual.
“We want transparent investigation into the Panama Papers leaks,” he demanded. He said that fighting corruption was inevitable for putting the country on path of development and progress.
He added that time was ripe to hold the corrupt accountable for looting the exchequer and having stashed money in offshore bank accounts.Bashir Khan clarified that PTI was not holding the protest rally outside the residence of the prime ministerrather it would be staged at Raiwind.
