The enemy

This refers to the article ‘The monster of extremism’ August 29) by Saleem Safi. The writer has justly concluded that “The lack of common ownership and sense of collective responsibility is a major hurdle in countering extremism.” Every politician, TV host and intellectual defines extremism according to his own convenience and perception.

The point is that we should be on one page regarding the root cause of this bane. There should be zero tolerance and no compromise on national security issues. We must understand that extremists are our enemy.
