Senior batsman to undergo rehab at Lahore’s NCA
NOTTINGHAM, England: Mohammad Hafeez on Monday flew back to Pakistan after the country’s cricket authorities decided that he will carry out rehab back at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore instead of England.
A Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official told ‘The News’ that it would be better for Hafeez, who is hoping to regain fitness after a calf injury ruled him out of the remaining part of the England tour, to carry our rehabilitation work at the well-equipped NCA.
Hafeez faces a race against time as Pakistan’s next assignment — a series against West Indies — gets underway in the UAE next month.
