NOWSHERA: One person was killed and his brother sustained injuries when their maternal uncles allegedly opened fire at them near the bus stand in cantonment area, official sources said on Saturday.
They said the victims and the accused had an ongoing property dispute, which resulted in violence.
Police said that the accused managed to escape on motorcycle after committing the crime.
One Alamzeb told the police in injured condition that he along with his brother Jehanzeb was going home
when two of his maternal uncles including Abdul Wahab and Mohmandy allegedly opened fire on them near Nowshera Cantonment bus stand.
He said both of them sustained injuries and were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital. However, Jehanzeb succumbed to his injuries at the medical care facility, said the wounded Alamzeb.
He told the police that they had been asking their uncles to hand over their mother’s share in the property. Nowshera Cantonment Police registered a case against the accused and started an investigation.
