Natural heritage

This refers to the article, ‘Salt Range is no one’s fiefdom’ (July 26) by Ayaz Amir. The learned writer has been raising this issue time and time again. Nature has bestowed the dwellers of this tract with tremendous wealth of beauty and it is the responsibility of all to raise their voices to avert the man-made catastrophe mentioned by the writer.

In Europe, people protect and preserve natural heritage but we are determined to devastate any such landscape on the altar of petty gains.
