Before proceeding for heart surgery, PM Nawaz Sharif said that the economy was on track and the price of potatoes was Rs5 per kilo and all essential commodities prices had been controlled. After his departure, shopkeepers played hell with the consumers during Ramazan. The younger Mian Sahib completely failed to control the prices. Even now the prices are sky rocketing and totally out of control. Tomatoes are Rs 120 per kilo and no vegetable is less than Rs 80 per kilo.
This is too much for the common citizen. What to say of meat and chicken, the poor can barely afford vegetables. People are voting for the ruling party in Kashmir and all other places. PM Nawaz must respond to them by easing their problems. Imagine: an old retired employee is drawing a very meagre EOBI pension of Rs5250. How can that poor chap survive?
