PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed on Monday awarded appointment letters for the posts of junior clerk to the wards of 18 martyred police officials.
These policemen laid down lives in line of duty during various police actions at different times against miscreants and anti-social elements.A ceremony was arranged at the Central Police Office to award appointment letters.
Additional IGP Headquarters Awal Khan, DIG Headquarters Rizwan Manzoor, AIG Establishment Sonia Shamrooz, Director Public Relations Shahzada Kaukab Farooq and PSO to IGP, Imran Khan, were present on the occasion.
The recipients included Saima Batool, Zaryab, Hamza Khan, Abdul Basit, Muhammad Arsalan Ali, Nihayat Khan, Muhammad Adil Hameed, Muhammad Mubashir Ali, Ali Hussain, Kabir Khan, Abdul Majid, Saira Yasmeen, Asad Ullah, Shafi ud Din Khan, Hazrat Bilal, Waseem Mubarak, Farhan Ullah, Ahmad Raza and Ziaud din.
The IGP paid tributes to the police officers and jawans who had laid down their lives in the line of duties.He said the police force was proud of their performance.“The cash prizes or appointment of their children as junior clerks in the Police Department cannot be a substitute for the martyred heroes,” the IGP maintained.
