Unfortunately, as soon as the summer season begins in Pakistan, loadshedding reaches its peak. In Islamabad, the situation has worsened to an alarming level, with power outages often lasting for seven-to-eight hours. Loadshedding mostly occurs at night, causing great discomfort to women, the elderly, young people and children.
Business professionals are often unable to reach their offices on time due to the electricity shortage, which has serious negative effects on society as a whole. The government must heed the people’s suffering and urgently devise an effective plan to bring a swift end to loadshedding.
