PMDC increases required percentage from 60 to 65 for MDCAT
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has increased the required percentage of Intermediate or equivalent programme marks of candidates for MDCAT-2025 from 60 percent to 65 percent.
PMDC Registrar Dr Shaista has issued a formal notification in this regard. The notification states that the scores of FSc /Intermediate (Pre-Medical) or equivalent will be at least 65 percent for admission into MBBS/BDS programmes in the country with effect from Session 2025-2026, while the candidates will be allowed to appear in the MDCAT only in their province/region of the domicile.
The notification states that Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, will be the only international test centre for MDCAT, while the syllabus of MDCAT has also been placed on the website.
