DIR: Commissioner, Malakand Division, Muhammad Abid Khan Wazir on Wednesday said maintaining law and provision of basic facilities were the responsibility of the government and the officials concerned must come to the expectations.
Speaking at a khuli kutchehry here, the commissioner highlighted the provincial government’s efforts to provide facilities to the public in all sectors. “The government is striving hard to provide all possible facilities to the people and the officials concerned should play their due role in facilitating the people,” he said.
Deputy Commissioner Naveed Akbar, District Police Officer Syed Muhammad Bilal, heads of department and local dignitaries as well as social figures attended the gathering.
The commissioner said that public hearings were an effective means of resolving issues and that all departments should work together to address citizen complaints. He also stressed the importance of maintaining law and order, protecting citizens’ lives and property and promoting interfaith harmony. The commissioner asked relevant officials to address the concerns of the people promptly. Earlier, the citizens raised concerns about security and other issues.
