Criminal killed in ‘encounter’

LAHORE:A criminal was killed in an exchange of fire with the Crime Control Department (CCD) Chuhng during a late-night operation near Canal Road, Jubilee Town.
Nazim, son of Barkat Ali, was wanted in numerous cases of robbery, snatching, and burglary. According to a CCD spokesperson, a police team attempted to apprehend Nazim and his accomplices within the jurisdiction of Chuhng Police. During the operation, Nazim and his group opened fire on the police. In the ensuing shootout, Nazim sustained critical bullet injuries, allegedly from shots fired by his own accomplices. He died on way to hospital.
