Summer torture
I am a resident of Orangi Town, Karachi, and I would like to bring attention to the poor performance of K-Electric. In our area, electricity is cut off for several hours every day, often without any prior notice. During the extreme heat, when children are studying or elderly people are resting, the power is shut down. In the afternoons, not only is the fan not working, but we also have no access to water.
This frequent loadshedding is causing immense problems for families, especially for women, elderly people, children and patients. Sometimes, the voltage is so low that refrigerators, fans and other appliances get damaged. When complaints are made, calls go unanswered and emails are ignored. Consumers are only told to be patient, but the situation is getting worse day by day. We urge the Sindh government, Nepra and other relevant authorities to hold KE accountable and relieve the public of this ongoing hardship.
