LAHORE:In a significant move aimed at enhancing healthcare provision in government hospitals, Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza has directed all Assistant Commissioners to conduct regular visits to hospitals within their respective jurisdictions.

This proactive step was intended to address any potential shortcomings in the health sector and resolve issues faced by patients. According to the directives issued by the Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioners will undertake detailed reviews of healthcare services being provided in Outpatient Departments (OPDs), Indoor wards, and Emergency sections of hospitals. They have been specifically instructed to ensure the quality of medical facilities and the timely treatment of patients. The Lahore District Administration is committed to taking concrete steps for the improvement of citizens' health.

The administration's foremost priority was to ensure the timely provision of medical facilities to the public, preventing any citizen from facing delays or difficulties in receiving treatment. The Deputy Commissioner has directed the Assistant Commissioners to also verify the availability and quality of medicines during their hospital visits, ensuring that the required stock of essential medicines is present. Syed Musa Raza stated that health is a fundamental right of citizens, and the District Administration will utilise all resources to protect this basic right.
