Students join hands with PHA to make Rawalpindi green
Rawalpindi:On the special instructions of Director General Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Rawalpindi, Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, a vibrant tree plantation campaign was organized at UC-15’s Sirajia Park. The event saw enthusiastic participation from local schoolchildren, teachers, and community dignitaries.
Demonstrating their commitment to the “Clean and Green” mission of the PHA, children and teachers actively planted saplings across the park. The plantation drive is part of a citywide campaign currently in full swing under the guidance of DG PHA, aiming to raise awareness about environmental sustainability and the critical role of trees.
The initiative focuses on involving students from schools, colleges, and universities to instil a sense of environmental responsibility at an early age. Teachers and students praised the campaign at Sirajia Park, calling the involvement of children in such meaningful activities a commendable step that will positively impact the city’s climate.
