Five kite manufactures held

GUJRANWALA: Police Thursday claimed arresting five kite manufactures and recovering 20,000 kites and thousands of balls of twine.
Reportedly, on a tip-off, police raided Zahid Colony and Muridkey and arrested accused Muhammad Noman, Muhammad Ramzan, Muhammad Tahir, Amjad and Ali and recovered kites and twine from their possession.
The accused wanted to supply kites and cord to shopkeepers throughout the province.
FACTORY CATCHES FIRE: A hosiery factory caught fire causing a big loss to its owner.
Reportedly, a fire erupted in a section of the factory in Garjakh due to short circuit, but it engulfed other areas of the factory as well.
The fire damaged valuables items. Firefighters extinguished the fire after three hours’ hectic efforts.
