Islamabad : The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education on Sunday hosted the highly-anticipated Pakistan Mathematics Olympiad 2024 in collaboration with the Lahore University of Management Sciences and the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation.

The PMO aimed to identify and cultivate mathematical talents among secondary and higher secondary students both within Pakistan and internationally, according to FBISE officials. They said over 7,500 students participated in the examination across 69 examination centres nationwide and three international locations to exhibit their mathematical prowess. The Olympiad’s curriculum, developed by LUMS’s Mathematics Department, adhered to international standards, offering participants an opportunity to engage in complex problemsolving, critical thinking, and analytical reasoning.
