Ophthalmology moot concludes

LAHORE : The three-day Ophthalmology conference 2024, annual international event in the field of ophthalmology, organised by Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan (OSP), Lahore Branch, concluded here on Sunday.

This year, the conference was chaired by Prof Dr Javed Iqbal Chaudhry and through his efforts, the promise of organising a historic event with an extensive scientific programme and more than 1,500 delegates from all over the world under one roof in the City was fulfilled.

The conference was attended by a large number of ophthalmologists from all over the world, with Prof Dr Abdul Majeed Chaudhry and Prof M Saleem Akhtar as special guests. The prestigious event was possible due to the special efforts of President-elect Prof Dr Qasim Latif Chaudhry, General Secretary OSP Lahore Prof Dr Nasir Chaudhry, Chairman Scientific Committee Prof Dr M Moin, Joint Secretary Prof Dr Mian Arshad Mahmood and Treasurer Dr M Irfan Karamat.

Professor Emeritus Dr Asad Aslam Khan and his trachoma team were awarded honorary certificates and shields. In different sessions of the conference, 23 eminent speakers, especially from the US, UK and Europe, were part of the keynote programmes. Live surgery, product exhibition and quiz programme provided special opportunities for the participants.
