Rawalpindi: Punjab Arts Council organized a poetry book launching ceremony titled ‘Yeh Roshni Fareb Hai’ written by famous writer and critic Sajjad Ahmed Lakha.
The event was presided over by Dr. Waheed Ahmed, with Professor Dr. Ravish Nadeem as the chief guest, while the proceedings were moderated by Azwer Lone.
Addressing the event, the Director of the Arts Council, Sajjad Hussain, welcomed the guests, stating that today's literary gathering was a matter of pride for the Arts Council. He mentioned that Sajjad Lakha has a unique identity in poetry.
Lakha, a traveller in the world of journalism, after a long journey through words and dust, has shaped his thoughts into verses and poems. Remarkably, his skill in composing poetry is exceptional in both Punjabi and Urdu languages.
Rather than focusing on beauty and appearances, his themes revolve around the struggles of everyday people, tied to the problems of the times and circumstances, whom Sajjad Lakha considers the true owners of the earth. Dr. Waheed Ahmed commented that Sajjad Lakha’s poetry is a reflection of contemporary imagery, highlighting human issues in his work.
