ISLAMABAD: Customs edged out Navy in penalty shootout to win the 37th National Junior Hockey title at the Bunda Hockey Ground on Saturday.
In what turned out to be a closely contested affair, Customs beat Navy 3-2 in a shootout to win the title. Both teams were locked at the end of the scheduled time, with Customs managing to beat Navy in a penalty shootout to win the title. Army beat Punjab Reds in a third-position play-off.
Shabaz Ahmad Senior, the 1994 World Cup-winning captain, was the guest of honour and distributed prizes and trophies among the winners. Secretary of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Rana Mujahid was also present on the occasion.
