Lesco lineman steals three transformers

LAHORE:Three stolen transformers were recovered from a lineman of Amir Town sub division of the Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) on Friday.

Reportedly, three transformers were stolen from the Lahore Electric Supply Company’s Amir Town and Taj Bagh sub divisions on Thursday late night and Mughalpura XEN Azaz Ullah tasked the Amir Town SDO and Taj Bagh Sub Division Officer (SDO) to probe the incident.

The SDOs in their probe found linesman M Yaseen of Amir Town sub division involved in the theft incident as he had been doing complaint duty at night in Amir Town sub division.

Yaseen stolen three transformers along with the support of unidentified persons. Two transformers were of 100 KVA and one of 200 KVA. Transformers had been stolen from the premises of the office.

According to sources, departmental action against the accused would also be initiated and an application has been forwarded to relevant police station for the registration of case against the accused.
