Measles death toll rises to 11 in Bannu, NWA

BANNU: The death toll from measles-related cases rose to 11 as five more children died in both Bannu and North Waziristan Agency, hospital sources said on Tuesday.Hospital sources said that 28 child patients were under treatment at Women and Children Hospital in Bannu.

as vehicle plunges into river
CHITRAL: Five persons died and four others are missing when a loaded Mazda fell down in Kosht river while crossing a bridge. According to Mulkho police, a loaded Mazda was crossing the Kosht bridge while carrying some goods fell down into Kosht River. As a result, five persons including the driver died on the spot. The bodies were recovered from the river by local volunteer while four persons were still missing.

Registration of seven Larkana schools cancelled

SUKKUR: To implement government notification regarding the summer vacations, the director of private schools cancelled the registration of seven schools and served notices to five schools for violating the orders of the Sindh government. Director Private Schools Larkana Ahmed Bux Bhutto along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Larkana Ameer Ali Mirani paid surprise visits to private schools in Larkana city and found opened several schools despite of summer vacations announced by the Sindh government from 19 May 2016 to 25 July 2016 due to increasing mercury level.
Three killed, four injured in Harnai
HARNAI: Armed men gunned down three persons and injured four others including women and abducted two here on Tuesday. Levies sources said that four to six armed men barged into a house and opened indiscriminate fire at residents located in Shah Rag Bazaar of district Harani of Balochistan. As a result of firing, three persons were killed and four others including two women were injured. The bodies and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Harnai for medico legal formalities. The assailants also took away two persons along with them before fleeing from the scene of the crime.
