Break the ice

For many years the Indian cricket team has been unable to play in Pakistan. To help break the ice and in the spirit of sportsmanship, the government should extend an invitation to Neeraj Chopra and his parents to visit Pakistan. The itinerary could include a visit to Mian Channu, the hometown of Arshad Nadeem, so that both athletes’ parents can meet and get to know each other.
We must appreciate the spirit of Mrs Chopra who, after her son’s loss to Arshad in the javelin throw, said that she was happy with Neeraj winning the silver, Arshad was also her son and that everyone who made it to the Olympics did so through hard work.
